Read Your Bible to Find Comfort

Anxiety can be overwhelming and it is no secret that the pressures of life can be hard to manage. Thankfully, the Bible can be a powerful source of comfort and strength during these times. Let's discuss 3 ways to overcome anxiety biblically by reading the Bible.

  1. Start small. Before diving into larger passages or books of the Bible, start by reading a small selection of verses. This could be a single verse or a few verses from a particular book. Letting these few words sink in and meditating on them can be a great way to start.
  2. Look for stories of faith. The Bible is full of stories of great faith and courage that can be a source of encouragement and hope. When looking for stories of faith, focus on characters who have faced similar challenges to yours, and learn from their stories of triumph.
  3. Take time to pray. Praying regularly is a great way to connect with God and build a relationship with Him. As you read the Bible and look for stories of faith, pray to God for the strength and courage to face your anxieties.
