When we think of surrender, we often think of giving something up, but surrendering to the purpose that God has for us is actually an opportunity to gain something far greater than anything we could ever imagine. In Psalm 57:2 (NLT), it says, “I will cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me.” We see that crying out to God is the first step in discovering His purpose.
When we surrender, we open ourselves up to the possibility of a greater calling and a closer walk with God. God knows the plans He has for us, plans to prosper and not harm us (Jeremiah 29:11). By surrendering to His purpose, we place our trust in Him and allow Him to work through us. We can find comfort in His promises that all things will work together for our good (Romans 8:28).
This surrender does not mean that we give up all control, but instead that we are open to whatever God has in store. As we surrender, we should be mindful of our thoughts and actions. We need to be attentive to the Holy Spirit and His leading. We should not be afraid to take risks, ask questions, and seek out answers.
When we surrender to God’s purpose, we are not just trusting in Him, we are also trusting in His plan for us. We should remember that His plans are always good and that He will never let us down. By surrendering to God’s purpose, we can witness firsthand the power and glory of God’s will in our lives.
Remember... Focus on your purpose!
