Choosing a word of the year is a powerful tool for setting intentions and focusing on personal growth. This year, I have chosen the word "growth" and I am excited to embark on this journey of transformation in the Lord. Ephesians 4:15 says, "Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ." This verse serves as a reminder that growth in the Lord is not just about becoming a better person, but it's about becoming more like Christ and being transformed into His likeness.
Growth is a process and it takes time, effort, and commitment. It requires us to be open to change and to embrace new experiences and challenges. In our spiritual lives, growth requires us to seek a deeper relationship with God, to study His word, to pray, and to seek His will for our lives.
One of the key aspects of growth in the Lord is to "speak the truth in love". This means that we should be honest and authentic in our interactions with others and with God, and that we should always strive to do so in a loving and compassionate manner. This requires us to put aside pride, selfishness, and judgment and to focus on loving and serving others as Christ did.
Another important aspect of growth in the Lord is to "grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ." This means that we should strive to be more like Christ in our thoughts, words, and actions. It means that we should seek to embody His love, grace, and compassion in all that we do.
In conclusion, growth in the Lord is a journey of transformation that requires us to seek a deeper relationship with God, to speak the truth in love, and to grow up in every way into Christ. This journey is not easy, but it is incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. I am excited to embark on this journey of growth in the Lord and I pray that you will join me as we strive to become more like Christ. Remember, growth takes time, effort, and commitment, but the rewards are immeasurable. So let us embrace growth in the Lord with excitement and anticipation, for it is in this pursuit of the Lord that we find the fullness of life and the abundance of His love.
Embrace the journey of spiritual growth with excitement and anticipation, for it is in this pursuit of the Lord that we find the fullness of life and the abundance of His love.
