The Bible is full of wisdom, and Philippians 2:5-6 is no exception. It states, “Adopt the same attitude as that of Christ Jesus, who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be exploited.” What does this passage have to do with faithfulness? Well, it provides us with a great example of how to be committed to something.
Jesus was God and had all the power and authority of God, yet He chose to remain faithful to His mission and not take advantage of His power. He showed us that faithfulness is a must, and that it can be done even when we’re tempted to go a different route.
We can apply this same principle to our own lives. Whenever we’re tempted to abandon our commitments, we can remember Jesus and His example. We can remember that He was faithful to His mission, and we can strive to be faithful to ours, too.
Faithfulness is not always easy, but it’s worth it in the long run. Being committed to something requires us to stay focused, even when we’re tempted to do something else. It requires us to be disciplined, even when we’re tempted to take the easy way out. It requires us to be resilient, even when we’re facing a difficult situation.
Faithfulness is a must, and Philippians 2:5-6 can help us stay committed. It reminds us that even when we’re tempted to do something else, we can remain faithful to our commitments. We can be like Jesus and strive to be faithful no matter what.
Remember to remain faithful on the journey!
